Boys Scout Troop 54, located in Whittier, CA welcomes all boys in the 6th grade and above.
We are an active, parent-involved troop offering life-long experiences. Our activities include camping, hiking, and various community services. Our goal is to provide a rich scouting program that fosters opportunities for personal advancement and achievement. The Troop was founded in 1958; since then it has served hundreds of young men with many reaching the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. To learn more about our Troop, email us or visit us; our meeting are regularly held every Monday at 7:00 PM at Lutheran Church, corner of Mills and Mulberry in Whittier, California.
Our Scoutmaster: Ryan Miller
Troop 54 is always ready to welcome new scouts
To join the Boy Scouts, a boy needs to
- Have completed the fifth grade, or have earned the Arrow of Light award as a Cub Scout, or
- Be between 11 and 18 years old, AND
- Like being a part of an organization where he can learn, grow, lead and have fun with his fellow scouts.
You do not need to have been a Cub Scout.
Contact us and arrange to come to any of our regular Monday night meetings (we believe that our boys are our best spokesmen for the troop). You will have an opportunity to observe and participate in our activities and see how our more experienced Scouts work with younger boys. Talk to our Senior Patrol Leader or any of our other boy leaders about how they organize and run the program.
Ouradult leadership is available to talk with your parents to explain our program, activities and the purposes of Scouting. If you like what you see, let the Scoutmaster or one of his Assistants know and they will help you complete an application form with your parents or guardians and let you know the current registration fees.
We hope you are interested in Troop 54. Come and join us!
