The meeting of October 8th, troop 54 scouts prepared for the camporee that will be the weekend of October 19 – 21. The scouts were busy planning their meals, patrol yell, patrol flag, and who is going to be the head cook, assistant, water boy, fire boy, and clean up crew. Meanwhile some of the other scouts were preparing for the box oven cooking. After planning was completed, the scouts had some free time which they enjoyed outside, while others worked on their rank requirements.

Court of Honor September 30, 2012
The Court of Honor was held on Sunday September 30, 2012 at St. Paul High School. Even though the day was very hot, many scouts and their families attended. We were honored to have the Woodbadgers be part of our court of honor. The Troop 54 families brought delicious food for the potluck and it was enjoyed by everyone. A slideshow picture presentation of the many Scout activities from the past few months was presented by Cristian Lozano. Pictures included Camp Whitsett, the Mount Whitney high adventure, Palisades mid adventure and Aviation Merit Badge in Long Beach. Cristian did a great job. The slideshow presentation ended with a beautiful dedication to Mr. Steve Jenkins. Many scouts earned the ranks of Tenderfoot, 2nd class, 1st class, Star and Life. The parents of these scouts looked very proud. There was quite a big number of Merit Badges earned. The scouts that attended Camp Whitsett earned together over 200 merit badges. Great Job scouts!
