South of Edwards AFB, we attended the annual native american pow wow at a museum in the area. Nice museum and many tribes were represented at the pow wow.
On Sunday morning after the Air Show, we hiked several miles around the camp site. While on the hike, a few scouts learned some map orientation. Beautiful day for a hike.
On October 15th, we visited the air show at Edwards AFB. In addition to several static displays of planes and jets we were also able to view several flying air craft. F22’s, F35’s, F22’s, F16’s and of course the Thunderbirds!
Troop 54 participated at the Memorial Day flag placement in Los Angeles. Additionally, we hung out with Troops 2019 and 985.
Thanks to Jeremy R. and his leaders for a great Court of Honor. The parents had a great time.
How cool was that!? Several our boys and a few girls from our sister troop, 2019 were able to fly with very generous pilots who flew them around the Long Beach area for around 20 minutes. These scouts are not likely to forget this any time soon!
On June 18th, Troop 54 will begin the Family Life Merit Badge. Taught by Beth Miller, this merit badge will be taught over Zoom for at least 2 to 3 sessions. Hopefully, we can meet face to face soon. Please email Ryan Miller to sign up. rypmil@gmail.com.
Thank You Mr. Durflinger! Troop 54 completed its first virtual merit badge over Zoom.
